SailingKSF Autopilot Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the public SailingKSF autopilot pages collect, and what future suite reporting can send when a boat owner explicitly enables it.

Summary

SailingKSF does not sell personal data, does not run advertising profiles, and does not use third-party ad tracking on the public autopilot pages. The public pages are mainly informational. Some server security logs, basic page statistics, and public feedback/comment data are processed so the site can operate safely.

Public Website Data

  • Normal web-server request data can include IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, date/time, and security events.
  • Public feedback/comments can include the name, optional email address, comment text, browser context, and anti-spam metadata needed to review and moderate submissions.
  • Download or page counters may store aggregated event counts used to understand page and download activity.

Autopilot Suite Data

  • The physical autopilot suite is designed to operate locally on the boat.
  • If a boat owner enables SailingKSF reporting, the system can send position, heading, weather, sea-state, status, and emergency/context data to SailingKSF for monitoring and support.
  • Reporting is intended for owner/family/support workflows and is not an advertising or resale data feed.

Use And Retention

  • Data is used for site security, product feedback, support, diagnostics, and boat-status features that the owner enables.
  • Server logs and operational records are retained only as long as needed for security, debugging, service operation, or legal/accounting requirements.
  • Public comments are manually reviewed before publication. Private contact details should not be posted in public comments.

Your Choices

  • You can read the public pages without creating an account.
  • You can choose not to submit feedback/comments.
  • Boat reporting can be disabled or not configured on the boat-side system.
  • You can request correction or deletion of feedback/contact data by contacting SailingKSF through the public feedback path.
