KSF AIS Dispatcher Privacy Policy

This policy explains what KSF AIS Dispatcher stores locally, what it can send when you configure receivers, and what is sent if you choose to use feedback or bug reports.

Summary

KSF AIS Dispatcher is free software. It does not sell personal data, does not include advertising, and does not use third-party ad tracking. Most app data stays on your Mac unless you configure AIS forwarding receivers or send feedback.

Local App Data

  • Receiver names, hostnames/IP addresses, UDP ports, serial/UDP input settings, dedupe settings, appearance, and runtime status are stored locally on your Mac.
  • Runtime logs and diagnostics are stored locally for troubleshooting.
  • The app reads AIS/NMEA0183 sentences from serial or UDP inputs that you configure.

Network Forwarding

  • The app forwards AIS sentences only to UDP receivers you enable and configure.
  • Forwarded AIS data can include vessel MMSI, position, course, speed, navigation status, and other standard AIS fields contained in received AIS sentences.
  • Third-party AIS receiver services have their own privacy and station policies. Review those policies before enabling forwarding.

Feedback And Attachments

  • If you use Send Feedback / Bug Report, the app sends your name, email address, title, message, app version, platform details, and optional attachment to SailingKSF.
  • Attachments are optional and may include screenshots, PDF/TXT/LOG/JSON support files, or similar diagnostic material that you choose.
  • Do not attach private AIS data, passwords, or other sensitive data unless it is necessary for support.

Website Data

  • The download page can record basic view/download events and normal web-server logs for security and operational statistics.
  • Those records can include IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, date/time, and download filename.
  • These records are used for security, abuse prevention, download statistics, and troubleshooting.
